    In recent years, the Union of Dong Long Maritime Transport Group Joint Stock Company has been actively promoting activities to take care of the lives of seafarers and crew members, trying to fulfill the role of the unit that protects the interests of seafarers, is the link between seafarers and enterprises.
     
    The life of a seafarer is always associated with long-term work shifts, all year long at sea. This means that they will be absent from important family holidays and anniversaries. On those journeys, parents, wives and children are the ones they always worry about when working away from the shore.
     
    Children born when their fathers are away, parents are sick when their children cannot be with them, birthdays of loved ones cannot be with them to congratulate and share. The only connection between the crew and their families is the phone screen during the rare times the ship passes through an area with phone signal. Talks, hasty messages cannot express all the feelings in the days of living far away from relatives and family.
     
    Understanding that, each policy, each benefit that the company’s trade union implements wants to become a source of encouragement and positive consolation for the crew’s rear. Besides, it helps seafarers to reduce the burden of worrying about their families, and to focus on trying to complete their work and duties.
     
    The typical activity that must be mentioned, gradually becoming a feature of the union of Dong Long Maritime Transport Group Joint Stock Company, is the birthday celebration for the crew’s rear. For each person, birthday is one of the important days to celebrate the day we were born, mark the milestones of adulthood in life, a time for loved ones to gather and share joy. and best wishes to each other.
     
    With the desire to bring complete happiness to the rear on birthdays when the husbands and fathers cannot be around. For seafarers who are working at the company, relatives will be sent home by the union on their birthdays to congratulate them.
     
    In addition to the birthday celebration, the trade union is also a source of encouragement, sharing the burden with the family when a loved one is sick or ill, congratulating each filial piety. In March, the union sent gifts and birthday wishes to 15 crew members, sent wreaths and condolences to a crew member’s family who lost a loved one, and congratulated a crew member’s family on birth and death. and visit 1 case of sick seafarer’s relatives.
